Rentivo is a new app, which aims to allow travel agents and holiday home owners to independently manage their holiday properties.
Aware of the dominance held by Airbnb and Booking.com, Rentivo hopes to give control back to those who are increasingly exploited by such Online Travel Agents who are taking an increasing share of the booking and demanding increasing compliance.
This promising new app hopes to act as a conduit to provide thousands of agents and millions of holiday home owners with a means to produce their own independent management web portals, rather than rely on large travel agents.
“Our Software as a Service (SaaS) solution is designed to empower them with full control over their branding, content, properties, and the tools they need to operate. We believe that the frustrations and loss of income brought about by the OTA’s motivate these businesses to seek a greater access to direct and re-marketing tools, plus more efficient management of channels, payments and pricing, through Rentivo’s technology.”
An ex-Managing Director and founder of a UK Biotech distribution company, Richard Vaughtonm obviously know what he is doing. Experienced in business startups, with an understanding of this industry from both a grass roots level with ownership and management of a significant rental portfolio, Richard has expected Rentivo’s forecast to exceed £300,000 next year.
Rentivo hopes to achieve this goal through their goal of raising £250,000 on Crowdcube. Having already raised £169,000 with eleven days left, this goal looks promising.
The use of funds raised will focus on sales and marketing, hiring developers, tech support/sales and admin. The company intends to become cash flow positive by early 2018, when operational gearing will then drive net profits.
The management team believe that the most likely exit route for all shareholders will be a trade sale.
