Dolce & Gabbana replaces models with drones in the runaway

Dolce & Gabbana replaced models in the runway at the Fall Fashion Week this Sunday, proving no profession is safe from being obsolete by technology.

The luxury brand surprised the crowd by releasing a new model of handbags in drones flying through the runaway.

The show at the Milan Fashion Week was one of the most awaited ones this year. The crowd was big and expectant. There were about 600 guests ready to capture the show in the moment with their cellphones, but everyone was requested to turn off their wifi and hotspots. The announcements were persistent, but no one knew what the Italian brand had behind hands.

The wait before the show started was of 45 minutes, but it was worth it according to guests who were wowed when the drones came flying around.

It was later revealed the delay was due to drone technicalities and that the wifi requests were to avoid disruptions in the connections with the drones.

The actual drone appearance only lasted about three minutes before the real models appeared. Nevertheless, the innovative approach suggests that technology is also disrupting in the fashion scene and Dolce & Gabbana is leading the way as the hi-tech fashion pioneer.

The luxury brand has recently been accused of supporting President Trump after making headlines during New Year when Melania Trump appeared in Stefano Gabbana’s Instagram, wearing one of Dolce & Gabbana’ designs at the New Year’s party at their Mar-a-Lago resort. Although the company hasn’t made any comments about the matter, there were strong claims in Gabbana’s Instagram.
