Wetherspoons sales across central London are down 17% compared to 2019 levels.
Whilst trading has recovered in Liverpool and Newcastle, sales are still low in London where workers have only recently been returning to work.
“The last 18 months have presented a considerable challenge to the hospitality industry, with many unexpected twists and turns,” said chairman Tim Martin.
“As in previous downturns, the company will continue to concentrate on providing high standards of service, reasonable prices and regular, small upgrades to the business.”
The group recently announced 99p pints to get customers back in pubs.
