Boots will become the first non-food based company to offer its items through Deliveroo.
The food delivery service hopes to expand through non-food items, starting with pharmacy items that will pilot in 14 locations from Tuesday.
The move will mean that customers will be able to order painkillers, medicine, makeup and toiletries through the delivery app.
Paula Bobbett, the director of Boots UK’s website, has said the move will be important for those unwell and unable to leave the house.
Cities that will be trialling the scheme include London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Nottingham Brighton, Cambridge, Croydon and Leeds.
Deliveroo has a turbulent start to its entry on the stock market, however, share price has steadily increased since. On Monday it closed short of its listing price, at 389p. The group is valued at £6.7bn.
