Advertising giant M&C Saatchi (LON:SAA) provided an update to markets in an AGM statement on Wednesday, boosting shares at market open.
In a statement at their AGM, M&C Saatchi chairman Jeremy Sinclair confirmed the expansion of the group’s brand identity unit, RE, from Sydney to London. The company are launching their research agency in Melbourne, as well as expanding their strategic consultancy Clear to LA and Berlin.
“In terms of New Business, group companies have made a good start; the LA office won Pacific Life, the American mutual insurance company, and our French colleagues won Haribo Candy”, Sinclair said.
In the UK, M&C Saatchi started the year by winning business from bed retailer Dreams as well as the high profile Visit Britain tourism campaign.
“All of this gives the Board confidence of another successful year for the company,” SInclair concluded.
Shares in M&C Saatchi, one of the largest global advertising giants, rose at market open, before stalling to trade down 0.28 percent at 362.25 (0935GMT).
