After being hit by supply chain issues, McDonald’s has said will be reducing portion sizes in Japan next month.
Disruptions to potato supplies, floods and issues around the pandemic means that customers can only buy small-sized fries.
To decision is to “make sure we have plenty of inventory and our customers can enjoy McDonald’s fries without interruption,” said the group.
In December around 2,900 Japanese could only sell small-sized fries around supply chain issues.
McDonald’s hopes to resume normal portion sizes by the end of the month.
